| Just created a new blog. Go here
to see my new blog. I'll still lurk here but all new posts will
go to my new blog. I decided to switch because I liked the
templates better over there. Thanks!

| Lately I've been on a cooking kick. I've been looking at recipes
for lots of Chinese pastries, much to the dismay of my waistline.
I can't read all of the recipes because they're in Chinese but that's
what http://babelfish.altavista.com is for.
Yesterday I made XO sauce, not a dessert but yummy nonetheless.
It turned out very well and I was pleasantly surprised. For those
of you who don't know what XO sauce is, it is a condiment dipping
sauce. It's similar to a chili oil but it also contains items
like dried scallops and dried shrimp. It's full of flavor but
because the ingredients are relatively expensive, it's expensive to buy
at Ranch 99 and hard to find a brand that tastes really good. I'm
looking forward to having some tonight for dinner. ^_^

| This weekend I went boarding and somehow my boot's laces broke.
Luckily I wasn't on top fo the mountain when this happened and I was in
the lodge. Lucky for me my boy happens to be Mr. Fix-It and he
figured out how to fix my boot when we got home. It took him
awhile to do it so I bet that it would have taken me 3x as long were I
to do it myself. Special props out to him for fixing my boot (and
not having to resort to jerry-rigging.) Now I can continue the
season with a boot that will hold my ankle in the binding.

| Vacations are simultaneously a blessing and curse. It's a
blessing because it's a welcome respite from the long hard hours you've
put in at school or work. Vacations are an escape from the real
world. It's a time when you can temporarily forget about all your
worries (sounds like hakuna matata) and simploy enjoy the little
pleasures in life. Vacations are also a curse because you've
spent all the time leading up to it being healthy and watching what you
eat. On a vacation you inevitably splurge and eat things you
wouldn't normally eat. You'd normally exercise off all your
indulgences but, on a vacation, a gym is no where on your
itinerary. So what do we do when we are on vacation? ... I say we
be evil and enjoy it to its fullest extent and worry about the
correcting the damage later when we have to go back to the doldroms of
normal, everyday life.
I've got 2 or 3 vacations planned for this year. Since I'm going
to places that I miss or have never been to before, you can be sure
that I'm going to spoil myself silly with food.

| I never realized how fast this year is moving until now. It's
already nearing the end of Feburary when it seems like it was just
yesterday that I celebrated the coming of 2005. wah ~
Nothing new to really report right now. Going to Tahoe, again,
this weekend. I've been getting lots of time on the mountain but
it's toll is evident, no new clothes for me.
After the season is over I'm going to go shopping. I haven't been
shopping in awhile and I've missed out on all the latest fashions.
*sigh*
On a side note, does anyone know of a good hair dresser here in the Bay
Area? I've decided to stop going to my current one because it's too
much of a pain to go all the way up to the Richmond to get my
haircut.
